Efficient Functional Therapy | EFT

restoration of health and performance.

Restoration of health and performance – According to the concept of Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Dieter Lazik

Modern lifestyles are increasingly associated with disorders, pain, and movement limitations of the musculoskeletal system. Today, such conditions represent the leading cause of sick leave. Idiopathic back pain alone affects more than 60 % of individuals, resulting in significant discomfort and restrictions – often without any prospect of lasting improvement.

Conditions that cannot be adequately diagnosed with conventional medical methods can be effectively assessed and treated using integrative approaches such as cranio-sacral therapy, kinesiology, osteopathy, frequency therapy, CMD treatment, biomechanical muscle stimulation, and biocybernetic muscle function diagnostics.

Curriculum contents

The program introduces participants to innovative approaches in diagnostics and therapy, focusing on:

  • Functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system

  • Somato-psychic and psycho-somatic conditions

  • Performance deficits and states of exhaustion

Based on these foundations, methods for highly efficient reduction of such conditions are taught. The course design ensures that techniques can be applied directly in clinical or therapeutic practice. For example, traditional chiropractic methods are modified into gentle and safe techniques suitable for broader use.

Additional skills include:

  • Restoration of optimal functional movement patterns

  • Practical methods for muscle and fascia treatment

  • Harmonization of autonomic regulatory processes

  • Reprogramming of impaired sensory systems (e.g. mechanoreceptors, muscle spindles, nociceptors)

  • Analysis of craniofacial, cranio-sacral, and cranio-mandibular interrelations

Aim of the program

Graduates are enabled to successfully diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions – often considered chronic or therapy-resistant – such as:

  • Functional disorders and exhaustion syndromes

  • Unclear or diffuse pain (e.g. fibromyalgia)

  • Postural and movement deficits

  • Reduced performance capacity across all age groups

Particularly in recreational and elite sports, new potentials for performance enhancement are unlocked. Initially developed in this field, the Efficient Functional Therapy (EFT) by Dr. Lazik has evolved into a comprehensive concept of medical and therapeutic relevance.

Another key aspect is motivating patients and clients to actively participate in maintaining their own health.

Benefits for practice

The competencies acquired within this program significantly broaden the professional scope, enhance diagnostic precision, and open up new perspectives for restoring health and performance.
