Prof. Dr. André Reuter
Prof. Dr. André Reuter is responsible for the strategic development and organizational planning of the DTMD. As Founding President and co-founder, he oversees the university’s administrative and governance structures and ensures that all information and regulations published by DTMD are implemented in alignment with its academic and strategic principles.
Prof. Dr. Ralf Rössler
Prof. Dr. Ralf Rössler is responsible for all academic and research-related activities at DTMD. A specialist in interdisciplinary periodontology and prevention, he is deeply involved in shaping the content and quality of postgraduate curricula. Prof. Rössler brings decades of academic experience to DTMD, including appointments at the University of Giessen, Charité Berlin, the Steinbeis University Berlin, and the Dental Association of Lower Saxony. His research focuses on biomaterials development and tissue engineering, and his clinical expertise includes regenerative periodontal surgery, implantology, and preventive care. He holds degrees in Chemistry from Heidelberg and in Dentistry from Hannover and Giessen.


Prof. Dr. Dr. Thomas Gergen

General administrative questions and above all the administrative establishment of research, study and cooperation programmes are topics that Thomas Gergen works on for the DTMD international teaching and research network.
As a professor, his own teaching and research areas are Civil law, European legal and institutional history and philosophy as well as cross-border legal issues. He also leads research on intangible assets and intellectual property at the University of Saarland and serves as legal advisor for French law at the Regional court of Saarbrücken.

Prof. Dr. Valentin Djonov
Vice Dean of the Faculty
In 1995 he became a Research Assistant at the Division of Developmental Biology, Institute of Anatomy, Bern. Followed Habilitation (Assistant Professor) for Gross Anatomy, Histology and Embryology in November 2002 and Associate Professor since March 2006 at the same institute. In September 2007 V. Djonov was promoted to Full professor and Co-director at Institute of Anatomy, Fribourg, Switzerland. In 2010 he returned to Bern as a Director of the Institute of Anatomy. As a part of the AnaPath GmbH, one of the largest European pre-clinical CROs, he provides for years histopathology and electron microscopy services.
Prof. Dr. Ata Anil
Prof. Dr. Ata Anil supports the internationalization of DTMD’s academic programs. In his role as Vice Dean for International Studies Affairs, he fosters academic exchange and collaboration across borders, ensuring that DTMD remains globally connected and accessible to professionals in medicine and dentistry worldwide.
