Set up DTMD email on Apple Mail (iPhone, iPad, Mac)

It is important that you set up your DTMD student email account correctly to stay informed. Your DTMD email is hosted on Microsoft Exchange. You can install it on Apple Mail (Mac, iPhone, iPad) or Microsoft Outlook.

Set up DTMD email on Apple Mail (iPhone, iPad, Mac)

iPhone / iPad setup:

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Go to Mail → Accounts → Add Account.
3. Select Microsoft Exchange.
4. Enter your DTMD email address (e.g., firstname.lastname@stud.dtmd.eu) and a short description (e.g., “DTMD Email”).
5. Tap Next.
6. Tap Sign In (not “Configure Manually”).
7. Enter your Microsoft password (this is your initial DTMD Microsoft password received at enrollment).
8. Accept the requested permissions.
9. Choose which services (Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, Notes) you want to synchronize and confirm.

Mac setup:

1. Open the Mail app.
2. In the menu bar, click Mail → Add Account.
3. Select Microsoft Exchange and continue.
4. Enter your DTMD email address and click Sign In.
5. Log in with your DTMD email credentials.
6. Allow the system to configure the account automatically.
